Covid-19 disrupts start plans for CHBD

As the  State of Victoria waits for the Premiers statement on when bowls can commence, all at CHBD headquarters stand ready to release information for the forthcoming season once the button is pushed.

We are pleased to announce that all of last years board and match and pennant committees have committed to another year at the helm of our Division.

As you are all aware the make up of all divisions remains uncertain with the only certainty that bowls will be played under different conditions than last season.

Mats will only be able to be under the control of the home teams lead on each rink placing the mat where the winning skip requests whilst the home skip will place the jack where they or the opposing skip require it( jacks will need to be placed at both ends).

To be determined will be the decision to play 21 or 25 ends.

Also up for consideration will be a competition to be held Saturday mornings for those who don’t wish to play a full pennant game.Possibly six- a-side competition  over 21 ends starting at 10.00am to be completed by 12.30 pm.

More information will be released as it becomes available.
